Suprabone
The Suprabone + ASC Kit contains Suprabone –TCP granules, needles and syringes. Suprabone-TCP is pure β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP). Suprabone-TCP is a biocompatible and resorbable osteoconductive support matrix when implanted and promotes new bone formation in the defect area. Suprabone-TCP resorbs when it is replaced by the newly formed natural bone. Since it does not contain human and animal tissue, it does not carry any risk of disease.
Bone marrow aspirate obtained from iliac wing or spine body is used during operation by mixing with Suprabone granules. Suprabone provides an excellent living environment for healing coke cells in bone marrow aspirate. The bone marrow aspirate may be 10-20 cc according to the surgeon’s preference. The healing properties of β-TCP granules combined with healing coke cells and healing factors in bone marrow are reported as equivalent to the autograft.
